May 2014 U.S. Airline Traffic Data
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reported today that U.S. airlines carried 65.8 million systemwide (domestic + international) scheduled service passengers in May 2014, 1.5 percent more than in May 2013.

June 2014 Freight Transportation Services Index (TSI)
The Freight Transportation Services Index (TSI), which is based on the amount of freight carried by the for-hire transportation industry, declined 0.9 percent in June from May, falling after four consecutive monthly increases, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ (BTS).

Airlines Report No Tarmac Delays Over Three Hours on Domestic Flights, One Tarmac Delay Longer Than Four Hours on an International Flight in June
Airlines reported no tarmac delays of more than three hours on domestic flights and one tarmac delay of more than four hours on an international flight in June, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Air Travel Consumer Report released today.

1st-Quarter 2014 Air Fare Data
The average domestic air fare decreased to $381 in the first quarter of 2014, down 1.0 percent from the average fare of $384 in the first quarter of 2013, adjusted for inflation, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics reported today.
