NOTES: Details may not add to total due to rounding. To eliminate the effects of inflation over time, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) converted current dollars to chained 2005 dollars. BTS used the Price Index for Government Consumption Expenditures and Gross Investment as the price deflator. The price index figures were obtained from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, available at http://www.bea.gov/national/nipaweb/SelectTable.asp?Selected=N#S3. Previous editions of this table were based on chained 2000 dollars, and thus this table is not comparable with previous editions. Local government receipts from motor fuel, motor vehicle, and toll highway charges are not included in 2007.
